Welcome Centre for Gender Equity and Empowerment

Thank you for taking time to visit the Center for Gender Equity and Empowerment webpage. Kenyatta University is committed to achieving gender equity, equality and inclusiveness. A key strategy to this road map was the established of the Gender and Affirmative Action Implementation Unit in 2007, which in April, 2008 upgraded to the current Center. The Center is tasked with mainstreaming gender in all the University’s operations through the enforcement of two Policies.

The Center’s activities are intended to create awareness of the gender dynamics and issues affecting the University such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Harassment (SH); which if unaddressed, compromise service delivery. Ultimately, the expected result is improvement of relations and welfare of all staff and students at the University, where rights and privileges are respected and adhered to.

Feel free to explore the activities and linkages undertaken therein.

We are situated at the Directorate Complex 2nd floor Room 206. You can also reach us via email, telephone or service mail as shown below.
