Current Engagements

  • Facilitate gender mainstreaming in all functions of the university
  • Sensitizing the staff and students on the Gender Issues and on the Gender Policy and Sexual and Gender Based Violence Policy of Kenyatta University.
  • Engaging in outreach and advocacy programmes on Gender Based Violence and Sexual Harassment through public lectures, seminars and workshops.
  • Collecting sex disaggregated data in order to advice University Management on attainment of 2/3rd constitutional requirement for gender representation and performance contract reporting.
  • Writing proposals to seek funds to help in the implementation of the Center’s mandate.
  • Holding Gender Training Workshops for mainstreaming gender in schools’ curriculum.
  • Conducting a situational gender analysis on teaching and learning environment.
  • Conducting a assessments  on Gender Based Violence and Sexual Harassment in all Kenyatta University campuses.
